This evening’s Evensong for All Saints was a rousing success. The Gentlemen of the Choir sang an arrangement by the Choirmaster of Bainton’s And I Saw A New Heaven, and Canticles by Sumsion, with Preces and Responses after Byrd’s Mass for Three Voices. Come raise your voice in a musical tribute to the USA at our Fourth of July Hymnfest, taking place in our usual Evensong timeslot on Sunday, July 1st at 6.00 PM. The programme will include the usual patriotic spectaculars, supplemented by some of the parish’s most popular hymns. An American ‘Burgers-’n’-Boh’ cookout will follow.

For April, in lieu of Choral Evensong, we present a ‘Lessons & Carols’-esque service for Palm Sunday. The service begins at the usual time of 6:00 PM and is expected to conclude within an hour.

The Choir of Men & Boys invite you to observe Ash Wednesday with the Penitential Office and Choral Eucharist on February 22nd at 7:00 PM. Music at the service will include Gregorio Allegri’s Miserere mei, Deus, and works of Gibbons, Victoria, Tomkins, and Batten. The Imposition of Ashes will be available at the Penitential Office.
